All of Brussa (approx. 2,000 ha) emerged in the early 20th century from the reclamation of brackish land with freshwater streams. It was the work of our ancestors, men who patiently paved banks and soil and always respected land and nature, who started the cultivation.
This environment has always been the home of land and water animals as well as many birds.
Today, Vallevecchia, the eastern part of Brussa, offers the greatest biodiversity in Europe, thanks to Veneto Agricoltura. Beach, dunes, forest, waterways and fields still tell the stories of our ancestors. Nowadays, the younger generations are the custodians of this treasure.
